Installation
- Upload ‘printful-shipping-for-woocommerce’ to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Click the “Connect” button or add your Printful API key manually to Printful->Settings tab
- Enable shipping rate calculation in WooCommerce->Settings->Shipping->Printful Shipping tab
- To automatically calculate taxes please check ‘Enable taxes and tax calculations’ under WooCommerce Tax settings.
- Then go to Printful->Settings tab and check ‘Calculated for all products shipped to states where Printful applies sales tax’.

Go to https://www.printful.com/dashboard/store , select your WooCommerce store, click “Edit” and then click “Enable API Access”. Your API key will be generated and displayed there.

Completely Useless for Modern WordPress/WooCommerce — Don’t Bother

I’ve wasted hours of my life with Printful’s WooCommerce plugin, and it’s an absolute joke. As of today, it still hasn’t been tested with WooCommerce 10.x or the current WordPress 6.8.x — and it flat-out doesn’t work with them.
Support’s “solution”? Downgrade my entire site’s WooCommerce and WordPress core. In 2025. For “security reasons” I refuse to roll my site back to outdated software just to accommodate their lazy development schedule. Any plugin that forces you to compromise site security just to function is a liability.
I went back and forth with support for hours, only to get canned responses, no ETA for an update, and zero accountability. They clearly prioritize other platforms over WooCommerce, and it shows.
If you’re running a modern WordPress/WooCommerce setup, avoid this plugin like the plague. There are better print-on-demand options (Printify, Gelato, SPOD) that actually keep their integrations up to date and don’t waste your time.
Printful may still produce decent merch, but this plugin is a dead end. Until they get serious about maintaining it, consider it abandonware with a pretty icon.
NO para tiendas multilenguaje

Si tu tienda online está en más de un idioma OLVÍDATE de instalar este plugin: no es compatible con plugins como Polylang y aparte el soporte técnico de Printful no da soluciones porque según ellos el problema lo deben solucionar otros; los de Polylang, Woocommerce, etc. Esa fue la respuesta que me dieron después de pasar días esperando.
Aparte, leyendo otras reseñas, no piensan hacer actualizaciones del plugin.

Simple plugin. We've used this for a lot of our clients. Printful makes it easy to set up, and we've never had any issues with it. Now we just need to make some cool designs to sell, but the tools to sell are working great! 🙂

I've been using this plugin for years and have installed it on almost 10 different shops and it's worked perfectly for me each time. It just occurred to me today that people are going to look at the bad reviews and think it's not working. It's actually an awesome tool and makes it easy to sell.
I love that it takes care of the shipping calculations for me. That's one of the hardest parts for me to set up on other eCommerce shops, but Printful makes it easy.
Over the last 10 years I haven't had any issues with plugin conflicts or store synchs, etc.
I've been looking at some of these other reviews and after my experience with so many different installs, I'm convinced that they probably struggle with other simple things, or they're a plant from some other commerce system...because Printful makes it easy. They even have a step by step how to with a video. Not sure how people are getting it wrong.

For me everything works. I haven't updated Woocommerce to version 9 because Prinful has to update its plugin to be compatible with Woocommerce 9xx.

doesn't work anymore

after having worked with printful for two years, and therefore inserted more than three hundred products, invested money and time, now it doesn't work anymore, I don't understand why they still allow you to use it. I'm closing my shop and moving to another more reliable company
Syncing only half the time

Well I wanted to swich from another provider because they have great products
But the integration really sucks, I can sync product... ehh like 40% of the time
And when it syncs in the background. I guess to also check up on stock it fails almost everytime
So can't use them sadly...
Their support answered quickly but sadly mostly with "can you contact your host" anserws... And research on the net showcases this to extremes.... it's definately their plugin having issuses, tried pretty much everything I can find...
And they asked me to rollback woocommerce to 8.2.2, that was FORTY ONE updates back... OMG
Well tried downgrading, disabling all plugins and resyncing many times and it's failing half the times and succes half the times.... That is way to unsecure to be usuable
