How It Works

  1. Create a channel at Pushinator Console
  2. Install the Pushinator app on your mobile device
  3. Scan the channel QR code to subscribe
  4. Configure which WordPress events should trigger notifications
  5. Receive instant push notifications on your phone

External Service

This plugin connects to the Pushinator API (https://api.pushinator.com) to send push notifications to your mobile devices.

Data sent to the service includes:
* Your API token for authentication
* Channel ID for routing notifications
* Notification message content

No personal user data from your WordPress site is shared without your explicit configuration.

  1. Upload the pushinator folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Go to Pushinator > Settings and enter your API token
  4. Go to Pushinator > Channels and add your first channel
  5. Select the events you want to receive notifications for

Getting Your API Token

  1. Sign up at Pushinator Console
  2. Create a new channel
  3. Copy your API token from the dashboard
  4. Paste it in the plugin settings

Do I need a Pushinator account?

Yes, you need a free account at pushinator.com to get your API token and create channels.

Is WooCommerce required?

No, WooCommerce is optional. The plugin works with standard WordPress events. WooCommerce events are only available if WooCommerce is installed and active.

Can I send notifications to multiple devices?

Yes, multiple users can subscribe to the same channel by scanning the QR code. All subscribers will receive notifications.

What is the Acknowledgment feature?

When enabled, notifications will require the recipient to confirm they received the message. This feature is available on paid Pushinator plans.

Are there any limits on notifications?

The free Pushinator plan includes a limited number of notifications per month. Check pushinator.com for current plan details.

Can I customize notification messages?

Currently, notification messages are automatically generated based on the event type. Custom message templates may be added in future versions.

Is my data secure?

Yes, all communication with the Pushinator API uses HTTPS encryption. Your API token is stored securely in the WordPress database.
