This plugin uses an external service provided by QuickBlox to display an AI chat widget on your site.

What the service is and what it is used for: The plugin loads the QuickBlox SmartChat Assistant widget (JavaScript) from QuickBlox servers. This widget is needed to show the chat interface to your visitors and to handle conversations, AI responses, and optional human handover.

What data is sent and when: When a page that has the chat widget enabled is loaded, the plugin loads the widget script from QuickBlox. The script is requested using your configured Widget ID (App ID). Messages and other data entered by visitors in the chat are processed by QuickBlox in accordance with their terms and privacy policy. The plugin does not send data to QuickBlox until the site administrator has configured a Widget ID in the plugin settings.

🔧 Plugin Installation

This guide will walk you through installing, configuring, and using the QuickBlox SmartChat Assistant for WordPress.

1. Download the plugin ZIP archive or upload the plugin via Plugins > Add New in your WordPress admin panel.
2. Click Activate after installation is complete.

Once activated, you will see a new menu item called QuickBlox SmartChat Assistant in the admin menu.

Navigate to Chat Assistant → Settings to configure the plugin.

📌 Required Setup

Widget ID: This is required to connect the widget to your QuickBlox project.

Enable SmartChat Assistant Chatbot on All Pages: Check this to display the chatbot across your website.

Select a Specific Page: Choose which pages your chatbot appears on using the dropdown menu.

📝 QuickBlox Account Setup

You can create a new account for SmartChat Assistant directly from the plugin settings:

1. You can select a standard SmartChat plan or a HIPAA plan that provides additional security and compliance, depending on your needs.
2. Already have an account? Click Log in to QuickBlox.

⏱️ Trial Notification and Expiration

When you activate the plugin, a 30-day trial period starts.

• You will see a warning message showing how many days are left.
• You can dismiss the notice if you have a paid subscription.
• When the trial ends, a message will inform you that the widget is no longer active.
