Installation

It’s very simple. Just follow the easy steps listed below:

Upload this plugin(richtexteditor-for-wordpress) to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
Check your account profile settings and uncheck option “Disable the visual editor when writing” if checked.

I really wanted to like this editor but it crashed my whole post/page editor, so I have had to deactivate it. Here's the error message I received: Warning: DOMDocument::load(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/home/.../public_html/wp-admin/richtexteditor/config/default.config" in /home/.../public_html/wp-content/plugins/richtexteditor/richtexteditor/include_rte.php on line 2194 P.S. it's new WP installation without anything yet

sucks. Left me with "not found" for a text editor

Good with a lot but too buggy

The biggest bug for me thus far is it removes all formatting on anything edited not initially created with it. A.k.a. comments, when I go to edit bam, all formatting is removed. On large comments this is tiresome. Also, there are a lot of small bugs, like the link button doesn't always work as it should, auto-filling with in house links and will not allow you to write one in until that section is completely re-written. Those are just the first 2 and I know there is a bunch just don't feel like writing them all down.

Suffice it to say if you can overlook, fix, or ignore the bugs it has more options than any other editor and I would really like to keep using it but until the formatting issue is fixed, I can't.

This plugin seems to have 6 fake 5-star reviews as these reviews were submitted within 3 weeks and each "reviewer" has a completely new account that just reviewed this plugin. All these accounts also have default profile images.

Moderators should review and remove these reviews.

Slow

1) It works so slow at start , when you opening a Post.
2) And it doesn't have HTML editor, show only text, and you can't choose too add Html elements.
3) It somehow turn off save functions of Enigma themes. I can't change anything on that Theme.

This editor plugin it's REEEEALY good!

I didn't download this plugin before because of the low download rate, but after get tired of dumb editors (even Zedity $39) I decided to give a try to this one... MEEEN! This freaking plugin is good! for real! Just try it. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews and the low download rate. Believe me, you won't regret it.

Error on wp_list_categories

When I tried to use this plugin, all my categories including custom post taxonomies got some error whenever I am fetching them, kinda weird though. But I'll check if maybe the mistake was on my end. But the plugin looks helpful for clients who wants to have their site managed by them easier.
