Description

Riser POS Online Ordering Platform adds a restaurant ordering page to WordPress. It connects to your existing Riser POS backend, loads the live menu, and sends completed orders back to the POS.

The plugin slug remains riser-pos. Use the shortcode [riserpos_products] on any page.

Features

  • Live product menu from your Riser POS store
  • Product variations (for example, sizes)
  • Cart with VAT and shipping defaults
  • Checkout form with customer and shipping details
  • Cash on delivery plus POS payment methods
  • Local order copy stored in WordPress after checkout

External services

This plugin connects to the Riser POS API, a restaurant point-of-sale service operated by Dimdul. The API is used to load your store menu and submit online orders to your Riser POS account.

The API Base URL is configured by the site owner in the plugin settings. The placeholder shown in the admin form (https://your-riser-pos-host.example/api/v1) is only an example format; your actual URL is provided with your Riser POS account.

What data is sent and when:

  • When a visitor loads a page with the [riserpos_products] shortcode, the plugin sends a GET request to {API Base URL}/get-menu with your store ID and API secret key to fetch the live menu.
  • When a customer completes checkout, the plugin sends a POST request to {API Base URL}/orders with your store ID, API secret key, cart items (product IDs, variation IDs, quantities, prices), and the customer details entered in the checkout form (name, phone, email, shipping address, payment method, and transaction ID when applicable).
  • No requests are sent until you save a valid API Base URL, secret key, and store ID in Settings Riser POS.

Privacy

Customer name, phone, email, shipping address, cart items, and payment reference are sent to your configured Riser POS API URL and stored in a local WordPress table (wp_riser_pos_orders). Deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen removes that table and the plugin settings.

  1. Upload the riser-pos folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install the zip from Plugins Add New.
  2. Activate Riser POS Online Ordering Platform.
  3. Go to Settings Riser POS in the WordPress admin.
  4. Enter your API Base URL, secret key, and store ID. Optionally set VAT and shipping.
  5. Create a page and add the shortcode [riserpos_products].
  6. Publish the page and test an order.

What is the plugin slug?

The directory slug, text domain, and settings page slug are riser-pos. The display name is Riser POS Online Ordering Platform. Settings are under Settings Riser POS.

Do I need WooCommerce?

No. Orders go to Riser POS, not WooCommerce.

Where do I get the API URL and keys?

They are issued with your Riser POS account. Contact Dimdul if you do not have them.

Why are products not loading?

Confirm the API Base URL is reachable over HTTPS, the secret key and store ID are correct, and your host allows outbound HTTPS requests.

What happens if I delete the plugin?

Uninstall removes plugin settings and the local orders table. Orders already sent to Riser POS remain in the POS.
