Role Based Redirect allows you to customize the login and logout redirection URLs based on user roles. Additionally, you can:

  • Redirect users after login based on their role.
  • Redirect users after logout based on their role.
  • Hide the WordPress admin bar for selected user roles.
  • Restrict dashboard access by user role.

This plugin is useful for membership sites, multi-role websites, or any WordPress setup where you want to provide a tailored user experience.

  1. Upload the role-based-redirect folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to the Users Redirect menu in the WordPress admin sidebar to configure redirection and role-based options.

Can I redirect users after logout?

Yes, you can set both login and logout redirection URLs for each role.

Can I restrict dashboard access for certain roles?

Yes, the plugin lets you prevent access to the WordPress dashboard for selected roles.

Will this work with custom roles?

Yes, it works with all user roles including custom ones.
