The plugins adds a simple settings page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Assign roles on product purchase, where you can specify, which roles should be assigned to customers upon purchasing selected products (or variations).

Unlimited conditions are supported.

  1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install the ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  2. Activate the plugin.
  3. Open WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Assign roles.
  4. Add product and role conditions, then save changes.
Does the plugin work for guest orders?

No, it does not. A WordPress user account is required in order to assign a role.

Does assigning a role remove existing roles of the customer?

No. The selected role is added while existing roles are preserved.

Can I select a product variation?

Yes. The product search supports products and variations.
