Requirements

  • Yoast SEO must be installed and active to batch edit SEO Title, Meta Description, and Focus Keyphrase fields.
  • WooCommerce is optional. If installed and active, the plugin will also enable batch editing for WooCommerce Products.
  • Posts, Pages, and ALT Image Tag tools function independently of WooCommerce.
  1. Upload the plugin ZIP file via the WordPress dashboard or extract manually to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate the plugin from the “Plugins” screen.
  3. Navigate to “SEO Batch Edit Hero” in the admin menu.
  4. Select a content type (Posts, Pages, Woo Products, or ALT IMG Tags) to begin editing.

What SEO variables can I use?

SEO Batch Edit Hero supports common Yoast SEO placeholders, including:

  • %%title%% — The post, page, or product title
  • %%sitename%% — Your website name
  • %%excerpt%% — The post or product excerpt
  • %%date%% — Publication date
  • %%category%% — Assigned category (where applicable)

Can I batch edit image ALT tags?

Yes. The ALT IMG Tags section allows you to view and update ALT text for featured images across supported content types, with filters and pagination for efficient workflows.

Will the plugin work if WooCommerce is not installed?

Yes. WooCommerce-related features are conditionally loaded and hidden unless WooCommerce is active.

Does this plugin support other SEO plugins like Rank Math?

Not at this time. SEO Batch Edit Hero is currently designed specifically for Yoast SEO.
