Media Library Control: Upload, retrieve, or delete images and files with a single prompt.
-
Optimise for search engines: audits for missing SEO meta data, generates meta for new WordPress posts and pages – SEO titles, meta descriptions, keywords, alt text and captions.
-
Point it at a media library with 200+ product images, and it adds the needed metadata for each one, maintaining consistent keyword usage throughout. That’s 800+ individual fields – a week and a half of mind-numbing work, finished in an afternoon.

🛡️ Power Mode for High-Impact Actions
To protect your website from accidental or harmful changes, the AI Agent for WordPress includes a built-in safety layer called Power Mode.
Power Mode is disabled by default to ensure that high-impact actions are never executed without your explicit confirmation. When you request a potentially irreversible operation, the Agent will pause and alert you before proceeding.
Actions that require Power Mode ON include:
-
Deletions: posts, pages, categories, tags, users, media files, plugins, themes, products, orders.
-
Bulk operations: mass-editing post titles, updating URLs across multiple pages, mass-deleting drafts.
-
Create, edit, and delete users
-
Updating global site settings
-
Creating, updating, or deleting WooCommerce products and orders
By combining AI automation with built-in safeguards, SiteGround ensures you get speed and convenience without compromising safety.

✨ AI Connector
The plugin also enables SiteGround AI as an AI connector for your WordPress. SiteGround AI is a multi-model AI service that intelligently routes each task to the best-suited LLM, optimizing for output quality and cost efficiency. It powers WordPress AI features, including text, image, and code generation, translation, research, analysis, and more. It orchestrates several models – Gemini, Nano Banana, ChatGPT, GPT-Image, Claude – and automatically selects the best one for each job.
Install the AI Agent by SiteGround plugin, create a free account for SiteGround AI Studio service, and the connector activates automatically. No API key is needed to activate.
In the plugin you have separate settings to activate and deactivate the SiteGround AI Connector separately from the AI agent. If you deactivate the Connector it will stop powering up AI features in the WP admin, enabled by the AI plugin. Disconnecting the SiteGround AI Connector will not affect the work of the AI agent – it will remain active until you disable this plugin entirely. Learn More.

Pretty Poor Form Charging for AI Support
By kramer842 (duonger) on July 7, 2026
Installed it to see what the benefit would be--especially since human support is slow and takes a long time. Figured AI support would be very helpful. And it was--until it wasn't. Ran out of tokens pretty quick having AI troubleshoot performance issues with the site (which was cool) but that only lasted for a few queries and then I needed to upgrade. Pretty low budget for what we pay for hosting. If I had it coding or doing actual designing and or building I could understand needing to pay a premium for tokens but for simple hosting support where they don't need to pay human support person located in the Ukraine (or wherever) seems like a no brainer. Update you policy on AI usage fees and save money on the back end by not having to pay a support person.
I wish I had four hands

So I could give this plugin four thumbs down. Do not auto install and activate plugins on websites, it's simple. All that money and no one to pump the brakes on bad ideas. Shame.
Deplorable
By spindreams on July 3, 2026
Installed without consent on 100s of mine and my customers sites hosted with Siteground. SG should absolutely remove it or face a lawsuit.
Terrible behaviour
By antonyjosephsmith on June 26, 2026
Installing plugins unsolicited is just really poor form. Astonishing SG would do this.
Why is AI I don't want getting installed on my site without permission?
By jbinnie on June 20, 2026
Saw that this plugin was installed on my site without my permission. Tried to uninstall and was told I couldn't uninstall. This is the kind of thing that pushes me to move to another provider. Give me the uninstall option and don't install stuff on my site I don't ask for!
Why would I want this on my site without me choosing to install it
By zonkeyweb on June 19, 2026
What a ridiculous and irresponsible thing to do.
Like a U2 Album on my iPhone
By Kirstin (KIRSTINHALLETT) on June 17, 2026
Didn't ask for this. Did not consent to it being installed on all my clients' sites. Went to Siteground support and their AI Agent aggressively insists they did *NOT* automatically install this on my clients' sites without my permission. Human agent insists they emailed me about this AI Agent plugin (they did not). Human agent tried to tell me how to check my email. "Check in promotions / junk mail" -- always love that. Had to get human agent to escalate to have it removed from all my sites. Huge misstep from Siteground -- don't install garbage onto our accounts. ESPECIALLY when it's AI garbage, when AI is trying desperately to take the jobs of Siteground's paying customers, like me.....
VERY bad move by SiteGround

I can't believe SiteGround installed this plugin without our permission.
Installed without consent on 200+ client websites
By midrocket on June 17, 2026
I am extremely disappointed with SiteGround AI Studio.
The plugin was automatically installed on more than 200 WordPress websites under our management without our explicit permission. As an agency responsible for client websites, this is a serious issue. No hosting provider should add new plugins to production websites without clear prior consent from the site owner or administrator.
Even if the plugin itself may be useful for some users, the way it was deployed is unacceptable. It creates unnecessary risk, adds software we did not audit or approve, and forces agencies and developers to spend time reviewing and removing something we never requested.
No consent to install!
By corrinarusso on June 16, 2026
Guys, seriously you dump this plugin that I do not want on all my Siteground managed websites without my consent, AND you install it without my consent when creating a brand new site as well?
Hard no from me.
