Description

Sherpa Digital Tiered Shipping for WooCommerce adds a shipping method to your shipping zones. Set a checkout label, two to five quantity tiers, prices, and tax status separately for each method.

The quantity table shows the item range covered by each tier. Minimum quantities must be increasing whole numbers; prices must be zero or greater. Zero means free shipping.

Only physical products in the current shipping package count. Three units of one product count as three items. Virtual products do not count. If another extension splits an order into packages, each package receives its own shipping charge. The highest qualifying minimum determines one price for the whole package, not a price per item.

Example:
* 1-2 physical items: 10
* 3-5 physical items: 8
* 6 or more physical items: 0 (free)

Prices use your store currency and are entered excluding tax. WooCommerce applies shipping taxes when the method is taxable.

This plugin does not provide carrier quotes, label printing, weight rules, product-specific rules, or an external service. It does not collect analytics or send data to external services. Settings are retained on deactivation and deletion to protect existing configurations.

Where is the settings page?

Open Sherpa Plugins > Tiered Shipping for the overview and setup guide. To edit prices, edit the Sherpa Digital Tiered Shipping method inside a shipping zone. Version 1.1 replaces the old global Sherpa Digital Tiered Shipping tab with a tier count inside each method.

Are existing settings preserved?

Yes. The method ID and legacy threshold/cost keys are retained. Existing methods inherit the old global tier count when first loaded. Each method can then use a different count. Reducing the count retains inactive tier values.

Does upgrading change shipping prices?

Configured prices are retained, but quantity counting changes. Version 1.0 counted the entire cart, including virtual products. Version 1.1 counts physical units in each package. Mixed carts and split shipments may therefore use different tiers. Review and test on staging before updating a live store.

What about old thresholds that are out of order?

Calculation uses the highest qualifying minimum quantity. If two legacy tiers share a minimum, the earlier tier wins. Edit the method and save increasing minimums to remove ambiguity. Invalid legacy prices are not offered as a shipping rate.

Does this replace other shipping methods?

No. Other enabled methods remain available. Disable them in the zone if you only want Sherpa Digital Tiered Shipping offered.

Does it work with checkout blocks?

Rates use WooCommerce’s server-side shipping method API. Test both your chosen checkout and any package-splitting extensions before release; no live checkout compatibility certification is claimed.

Is customer information stored?

The plugin stores shipping configuration only. It does not add customer data storage or external requests.
