Simple CPT is a free WordPress plugin that lets you create custom post types and custom taxonomies (eg: categories, tags, etc.) directly from your admin dashboard without writing a single line code.
No more editing files manually. With Simple CPT you can create a new Custom Post Type in less than 1 minute.
This plugin is written using only native functions, included in WordPress core, so it does not in any way reduce the performance of your website and will not cause any compatibility problems. Simple CPT is completely free, it will save you time and it is compatible with almost all themes and plugins out there.
In just a few minutes you can adapt your WordPress site to any type of project in a professional and extremely efficient way, e.g. ecommerce, hotel, restaurant, events, portfolio, community websites etc.
Installation
Manual
- Upload the Custom Post Type UI folder to the plugins directory in your WordPress installation
- Activate the plugin.
- Navigate to the “Simple CPT” Menu.
Admin Installer via Zip
- Visit the Add New plugin screen and click the “Upload Plugin” button.
- Click the “Browse…” button and select zip file from your computer.
- Click the “Install Now” button.
- Once done uploading, activate Custom Post Type UI.
- Navigate to the “Simple CPT” Menu.
That’s it! Now you can easily start creating custom post types and custom taxonomies in WordPress

Whenever you need to extend the functionality of your WordPress site with your own type of content then you can create custom post types. Creating custom post types for books, movies, reviews, products and so on, can transform your website from a blogging platform to a custom software solution e.g. a bookstore, a movie database, a product listing site etc.
With the “Simple CPT” plugin you can easily create custom post types (Books, Cars, Movies, Songs etc.) and associated custom taxonomies (Brand, Color, Type, Genre etc.)
Your regular blog posts use Categories and Tags to create an organization structure. Those build-in taxonomies can also be linked to any custom post type you create with Simple CPT. However, the same organization doesn’t necessarily make sense for all custom post types. For a “book” custom post type, ideally you’d like to have the option to specify the book’s author, the genre, publisher and other book-specific data. This is when you create custom taxonomies and you associate them with your custom post type(s).
Absolutely not. No technical knowledge is needed besides entering some text labels and selecting options from dropdowns. With a few clicks your CPT will be ready in a minute. Check out the screenshots above.

This plugin is simply neat and easy to use. It is lightweight and functional. It can save you lots of efforts to segregate your content (blogs, pages into specific purpose custom posts types.
By using this, you can manage separate segments of your total audience and get them to read what precisely they should- for example - post related to music-lovers / mat-lovers and magic-tricks-lovers can be grouped separately.
For example, a business directory website, I have a series of blogs for educating buyers and customers about frauds in market; and a separate series of articles to educate and train the small business owners. Without CPT, mutually these two audiences will not be interested in content meant for other segment.

I guess it’s still the BETA VersionSome pretty amazing Mod has deleted my review (exactly the same message) with his word: "I have removed your review.
