Why Track AI Agents?

AI platforms are increasingly important traffic sources for organic growth. However, content ingestion by AI platforms differs significantly from traditional search engines:

• AI bots and agents regularly visit websites to collect, update, and verify information not only for training large language models, but also to power real-time AI search and live answers.
• This crawling behavior determines which content is available and ingested into AI chat assistants and how your brand and products are represented in AI-generated responses.
• Importantly, AI bots behave differently than traditional search crawlers. Most do not run JavaScript or maintain cookies or session state. If your site relies heavily on JavaScript or is not server-side rendered, your content may not be ingested correctly.

2. Generate a unique Website ID
3. Enter the Website ID in the plugin settings
4. Enable tracking and you’re done

Automatic Installation

1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
2. Go to Plugins > Add New
3. Search for “Siteline Agent Analytics”
4. Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”

Manual Installation

1. Download the plugin ZIP file
2. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
3. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
4. Choose the ZIP file and click “Install Now”
5. Activate the plugin

Configuration

1. Go to Settings > Siteline in your WordPress admin
2. Check “Enable Tracking”
3. Enter your Website ID from siteline.ai
4. Click “Save Changes”

Do I need a Siteline account?

Yes. You need a free Siteline account to generate a Website ID and view analytics.

Does this affect my site’s performance?

No. The plugin uses non-blocking async requests that do not impact page load times.

We track all major AI platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Mode / AI Overviews, and many others.

Is this GDPR compliant?

The plugin is designed to track bot and agent activity. Site owners are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws.
