Simply add a small message bar to the bottom of each page of your website to display notice messages such as sales, notices and any text messages.

A lightweight plugin that simply adds a small notification bar that allows you to insert simple text at the bottom of every page of your website as a call-to-action.

Features

Choose color of font. (Includes transparency).

Add your own text to the message bar.
Users are able to close the bar by clicking on the ‘x’.
When a user closes the bar, automatically hide this notification bar for 24 hours.

Hide sitewide message for logged in users.
Integrates with Paid Memberships Pro – show notification banner only to members.
Show notification bar either on top or on the bottom of the screen.

Installation

Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/sitewide-notice-wp directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
Use the ‘Settings’ > ‘Sitewide Notice WP’ link on the dashboard screen to configure the plugin.
Toggle ‘Plugin Enable/Disable’ to display the notice bar.

Yes, you are able to add basic html code to your banner.

Where is Sitewide Notice WP Settings?

Yes, you are able to add basic HTML code to Sitewide Notice WP.

I need to add custom CSS to my banner

You may add custom CSS to your WordPress Customizer. This is done by navigating to “Appearance” -> “Customize” -> “Additional CSS”.

Not functional on public view, very limited

Styling options limited, external styling causes layout shift, no option to show 'when' as the instructions say, pubic view missing container and stuck at bottom. All told, a waste of time. And no support for free plugin means developer not available for his/her own system failures.

Thanks for creating this plugin. It worked perfectly!

My only suggestion is that it would be good to add a bit of padding around the text to give the text some more breathing room. Also, having an option to change the font size on the settings page, would be great. I did both the above through css, but having a font size option would be super helpful.

Works with caveat

Works OK, but if I exit the notice, it flashes up between everytime a page loads. If you want the notice there all the time, then I guess it's OK. For me, it's unusable.

I recommend this plugin because it serves the purpose it's made for; it's lightweight, doesn't seem to impact speed and performance compared to other plugins. The plugin is free but if the website benefits from this plugin, the developer deserves donation.

I use this on a number of websites. This is a really useful plugin for a variety of purposes when you need to let your visitors something important. Be it a special offer, sale or a special notice. Simply install, activate and add your content (HTML is allowed). I had a minor issue that was sorted out immediately, so good support too.

Does what it says on the tin and really easy to use. Allows custom markup in the notice, which is a great feature.
