Description
A Fast & Automated SEO Plugin For WordPress
Currently there are many SEO plugins for WordPress in the market. But these plugins often have too many options and are very complicated for ordinary users. Access to their configuration section, you will easily get lost in a maze of explanations and options that you sometimes don’t understand. Besides, there are ads!
So how can an ordinary user use an SEO plugin?
SEO should be an integrated part of WordPress, where users don’t need or need very little effort to configure for SEO. The main reason is that not everyone understands the terms of SEO and how to configure them optimally.
So, we made Slim SEO.
Slim SEO is a full-featured SEO plugin, that’s done right! It provides a complete SEO solution for WordPress where the configuration has been done automatically. Users do not need to care about their complex and semantic options.
So what does Slim SEO do?

Slim SEO automatically adds the some structured data to the website via JSON-LD which makes your website more SEO-friendly. Faq
WordPress already has this featured! All we need to do is add theme support for title-tag. By default, the title tag will have the following format:
For homepage: Site title – Site description
For single page or post: Page/Post title – Site title
For other pages: Page title – Site title
This format is pretty good!
The meta description tag is automatically generated from the post excerpt or post content (in case you didn’t enter post excerpt). For categories, post tags or custom taxonomies, their description will be used as meta description.
Open Graph inherits the meta title and meta description. For image tag, it gets from the featured image.
For single posts, the plugin also provides detailed information for article section (the first post category) and article tags (post tags). It also provides additional information such as published time and modified time.
Other tags such as url, site_name, type, locale are quite obvious.
Twitter inherits some tags from Open Graph such as title, description and image. So we only need to set the card type to large image, so the posts appear beautifully on Twitter.
If your homepage is a static page, then it’s treated like a normal page. The meta description is generated from page content, and the featured image will be used for Open Graph tags.
If your homepage shows latest posts, then it’s already done automatically by the plugin.
Yes, you can. When you edit a post or a page, there’s a “Search Engine Optimization” meta box below the editor, which allows you to edit meta tags if needed.
The sitemap URL is located at domain.com/sitemap.xml.
Add the following constant in your wp-config.php file:
define( 'SLIM_SEO_DELETE_DATA', true );

Simple and Straightforward Usage
By findikhikayeleri on November 24, 2025
I tried it for the first time. It's simple and straightforward. I liked it. The only downside, in my opinion, is that we need to be able to replace breadcrumbs "home" with the word in our language.
If it supports Turkish, I can use it on more sites.
Been using this for years and still incredibly happy

The Last SEO Plugin You’ll Ever Need
By Alok Sharma (aloksharma) on November 7, 2025
I’ve tried many SEO plugins over the years — and while I won’t name them — most are bloated with features that the average user never needs. They add endless menus, notifications, and “recommended” tools that do nothing but slow down the site and clutter the workflow.
Then I discovered Slim SEO, and honestly, it’s everything I always wanted an SEO plugin to be — simple, lightweight, and focused on what truly matters.
Slim SEO doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary options. It handles the essentials — meta titles, descriptions, Open Graph, and Twitter Cards — cleanly and automatically. And that’s really all search engines need to understand your site. You don’t need a massive plugin suite to add meta tags!
I also had a small feature request (to hide the Facebook and Twitter image fields when Open Graph and Twitter Cards are disabled), and the developer, Anh Tran, not only responded quickly but actually implemented it in an update. That level of attentiveness is rare these days.
If you believe SEO should be fast, intuitive, and no-nonsense, Slim SEO is the last plugin you’ll ever need.
I truly appreciate Anh’s work and dedication — and I genuinely hope the team sets up a Buy Me a Coffee or Ko-fi page so that people like me can show our support.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants SEO without the noise.
Installed Slim SEO, Went for Coffee, Came Back to a Better Website
By afurrylittlerabbit on September 26, 2025
I installed Slim SEO mostly because I was tired of wrestling with plugins that felt like they came with a PhD in Confusion. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. Maybe a few meta tags slapped on my pages, maybe a sitemap that I’d never check.
But Slim SEO, it’s weird. It just… works. My images, which used to sit there naked without alt text, suddenly had names. Broken links I didn’t even know existed were quietly redirected. And somehow Google started noticing my site like a kid spotting candy on a shelf.
I didn’t touch a single setting. I didn’t read a single manual. I just installed it and went to make coffee. When I came back, my traffic numbers were creeping up like a cat on tiptoe.
It’s fast, it’s light, and it doesn’t nag you with a million options or popups. If you want your site to behave better in search results without turning into a part-time SEO engineer, Slim SEO is that weirdly competent friend who shows up at your door and fixes your kitchen sink while making a cup of tea.
Just Brilliant

Super happy to have found this plugin through Jakson youtube video, sharing his experience with it.
It truly is all we have been looking for in a SEO plugin.
So simple, fast and quiet that it makes us doubt if it has indeed done what it is supposed to do. Until we check, and it's all there, instantly.
Thank you very much for creating this art piece in SEO optimization form, with no annoying lights, ads, messages all over the dashboard, and truly keeping it simple and straightforward so that we can keep focused on creating what we love most.

The Best SEO Tool for Practical, No-Fuss SEO
By Gagan Preet Singh (imgagan) on June 14, 2025
I've been using Slim SEO across all my client websites, and I have to say, I'm genuinely impressed. What I appreciate most is its simplicity and ease of use. It just works, without any unnecessary complications.
For me, this plugin saves a lot of time. Many other SEO tools out there come with a steep learning curve and a host of features I simply don't need. Slim SEO doesn't try to be overly modern or offer complex functionalities instead, it provides a straightforward, practical solution for core SEO needs.
I'm not looking for fancy features, I need an effective SEO solution that helps my clients rank faster, gain visibility, and integrate smoothly with other plugins and tech tools. Slim SEO delivers exactly that. It's quick to set up on websites, typically taking anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple of hours depending on the project.
As a growth strategist, Slim SEO has quickly become my go-to. It's a reliable partner, and I truly value the relationship I've built with it.
Exactly what I need

Bad support and it doesn't work with ACF
By wood1e on May 5, 2025
Unfortunately the plugin doesn't work with ACF, and the support was lacking in timeliness.
Have choosen three stars as I think the plugin could be good, but let down by support, both technical and using different post types.
