Snapplify Single Sign On allows for OAuth authentication by WordPress Admin Users as well as OAuth authentication and registration by WordPress Subscriber Users and WooCommerce Customer Users.

External Services

This plugin relies on the Snapplify Auth API to authenticate and manage user sessions.

  • Service: Snapplify Access OAuth 2.0 API (https://auth.snapplify.com)
  • Purpose: To authenticate WordPress users against Snapplify user accounts via OAuth 2.0.
  • Data Sent: The user’s browser is redirected to Snapplify’s login server. During login, authentication codes are exchanged securely with Snapplify. No passwords or sensitive credentials are stored or shared by the plugin.
  • Data Received: The plugin receives an access token and basic user profile data (e.g. full name, email address, username, account ID, profile picture, authorities), which is stored in the WordPress user profile for account linkage.

This communication is secured over HTTPS and is required for the plugin to function.

Minimum Requirements

  • PHP 7.4 or greater is recommended
  • MySQL 5.6 or greater is recommended
  • WooCommerce 7.0 or greater is recommended, but WooCommerce is not a dependency plugin.

Automatic installation

Automatic installation is the easiest option — WordPress will handle the file transfer, and you won’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic installation of Snapplify Single Sign On, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu, and click “Add New.”

In the search field type “Snapplify Single Sign On”, then click “Search Plugins.” Once you’ve found us, you can view details about it such as the point release, rating, and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by! Click “Install Now,” and WordPress will take it from there.

Manual installation

Manual installation method requires downloading the “Snapplify Single Sign On” plugin and uploading it to your web server via your favorite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here.

Updating

Automatic updates should work smoothly, but we still recommend you back up your site.
