Privacy
Stella Chatbot stores data locally in your WordPress database:
- Chatbot settings and FAQ entries configured by administrators.
- Visitor chat messages, chatbot replies, matched keywords, session IDs, and timestamps.
This plugin does not require an external service to operate and, by default, does not send chat data to third-party services.
You can choose to delete all plugin data on uninstall from the plugin settings (Danger Zone).
Installation
- Upload the
stella-chatbotfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Navigate to
Stella Chatbotin your admin menu to configure settings and add your first FAQ. - The chat widget will appear automatically on your site (unless disabled in settings).

Go to Stella Chatbot > FAQ Management and click “Add New FAQ”. Define a unique keyword, the question, and the answer.
Yes! In Stella Chatbot > Settings, you can upload a custom image for both the launcher button and the header avatar.
Yes, the plugin is fully localized. You can translate it using PO/MO files or plugins like Loco Translate.
This plugin is strictly keyword-based. For AI integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.), you may use a separate companion plugin.
No. The credit in the frontend widget is optional, disabled by default, and controlled by the site owner.
By default, your FAQ entries and settings are preserved. To completely remove all data upon uninstallation, enable the cleanup option in the “Danger Zone” section of the settings page.
