Description

A simple plugin that adds a full width widget region above the default, columnised Storefront footer widget area. Customise the display by adding a background image and tweaking colors via the Customizer.

This plugin requires the Storefront theme to be installed.

  1. Upload storefront-footer-bar to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Configure the display in the Customizer (look for the ‘Footer Bar’ section).
  4. Done!
  1. The Footer Bar with a text widget.

The Footer Bar with a text widget.

I installed the plugin but cannot see the footer bar

This plugin will only work with the Storefront theme.

Several prior complaints about it "not showing up" (?) But works fine for me (Oct 2020). Install to plugins. Activate. Control it through Appearance > "Customiser", and then through Widgets.

Doesn't work

I tried removing all of my CSS and other plugins just to make sure, but as of WordPress 5.3 this plugin doesn't work. Kind of disappointing since I found this plugin on woocommerce.com

Doesn't work at all WP 5.0.3

I was hoping to use this with Storefront theme. It appears in the customizer, but nothing shows up on home page. Many comments in the support that are a year old, with no updates.

Works even now...

Works on WP version 4.9.2 and WC version 3.2.6 even thought it's not been tested. I would have thought you would add the widgets on the same area as the colours and background.

I have Storefront but it doesn't show up

By Alison (alsnd12) on July 11, 2017

I have the storefront theme installed, but when I activate this and check it out on the customizer/preview area, it doesn't show up on any page or post. What am I doing wrong here? EDIT: After an update, I now see the "Footer Bar" widget area to place content in. Works as expected now.

Simply works!
