Tlabe Reading Time Estimator automatically calculates the estimated reading time for your blog posts based on word count and displays a clean, styled badge at the top of each single post.

  1. Upload the tlabe-reading-time-estimator directory to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress Admin.
  3. Optionally, visit Settings Reading Time to customize the reading speed, label, and icon.
Does this plugin load any external scripts or stylesheets?

No. The plugin is 100% pure PHP. It adds no external CSS, JavaScript files, or remote API requests to your site.

Does this plugin track users or send data anywhere?

No. This plugin does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. It performs all reading time calculations locally in PHP.

Does it work with all themes?

Yes, the plugin hooks into the standard the_content filter and is compatible with all standard WordPress themes.

Can I change the reading speed?

Yes. Go to Settings Reading Time in your WordPress dashboard and update the Words Per Minute value.

Can I change the label text?

Yes. Go to Settings Reading Time and update the Prefix Label field with any text you like.

What happens to my settings if I delete the plugin?

All plugin settings (WPM, label, icon toggle) are automatically removed from the database on plugin deletion.
