They may just disconnect your account because they think it's the best thing to

I've been a paying customer for VaultPress for years, then one of their representatives, or what they call "happiness engineers" just disconnecting my account. She discovered I had two accounts and without my permission she disconnected one so I would only have one. But she disconnected the wrong one. She didn't ask me if she should do this, she just did it.
I still haven't been able to reconnect it.

Was doing manual backups, but for only $3.50 a month I get peace of mind from automatic backups. Would be great if I got a badge next the VaultPress menu option on the sidebar indicating I have a message about a backup issue, so I don't have to click on VaultPress to see if backups are working. I ran into an issue where the backup process was caught in an endless loop and I did not have a backup for several days. I only found out about the issue by clicking on VaultPress and seeing the notice my site had not been backed up in several days. It would also be great to add an option to wp-cli to get the latest message and/or list of previous backups and date/time of them.
I signed up just to say DO NOT USE THIS!!!

What a waste of my going on 12 hours and none of the restore options work. This is terrible
Support is a joke!!!!
This is the worst merge plugin with Jetpack.
It's 10pm.
Not keeping their promises of keeping tech support (free) on this forum
Hi,
Every time, I backup my website using vaultpress. It slows my websites. Not good.
Thanks for making the web a better place. VaultPress is a real-time backup and security scanning service designed and built by Automattic, the same company that operates (and backs up!) millions of sites on WordPress.com.
I am happy that this plugin is made by a big responsible company. I feel secure and safe now.
Thanks for making such plugin,
VaultPress was successful in migrating a tricky WP site to a new Host. They stuck with it from beginning to end. Could not be happier with the support. They definitely know what they are doing. The Restore product saved me. Big thanks to Mark Z.
Not only have my websites been hacked without VaultPress detecting it (one is hacked right now, but VaultPress beams, "We've detected no security threats!"), but I've never been able to restore one of the daily backups I PAY FOR. Exactly what is the point of a backup if you can't restore it?
I guess I don't get what this PAID PLUGIN is supposed to do. As far as I can tell, it does nothing.
Why are you forcing Jetpack on us

Why can’t I use Vaultpress without installing Jetpack? Vaultpress was excellent. But now I have to install this bloated monster called “Jetpack” just to make backups work. Bye Bye Vaultpress and Never again Jetpack.
VAULTPRESS IS GREAT!!! Exactly what is is supposed to be!!

I love vaultpress. I have had no problems with their services. The support is exemplary. I shoot them an email, I get a prompt reply. If I mark it as an emergency, I get an even much faster reply. It is exactly what it claims to be.
I read these other negative reviews and I have to laugh. One says 'my bandwidth went up'...well, yeah, you are off loading your entire site once everyday, duh.
Another says that they no longer offer Vaultpress as a Stand-alone service and have packaged it with Jetpack and they don't need Jetpack...well, turn all the other features you don't want off and use only vaultpress. It is packaged with Jetpack because it is from the same company...Automattic...the company that builds WordPress!!
Which brings me to the one review I read that said to 'go with another company' another company that offers quality support and quality products. WELL IF THAT IS YOUR OPINION YOU SHOULD NOT EVEN BE USING WORDPRESS BECAUSE THIS COMPANY IS THE BUILDER OF WORDPRESS...some people.
And one dislikes that it is a subscription service...ok, fine, go with a free plugin like Updraft...that way you save a few dollars and when your site totally crashes and you have no access to the backend you also will have no access to your backups, unless you want to go login and download copies of your backups daily and FTP your entire site back if you crash.
I have not one thing to complain about with these guys. They have responded to every email very quickly. They have helped me figure out things that I WAS DOING WRONG, not them. And the restores are perfect every time I have used them. No complaint only the opposite. I love these guys.
So go save a buck for minimal services, complain about bandwidth when you don't even understand how a backup works, or go find a different company that knows how to work with WordPress better than the company that founded and builds WordPress. Maybe you can find a different backup company, one that is owned by EIG, that should work for ya'!
