Webixso connects your WordPress site to the Webixso social media platform and lets you:

  • Select multiple social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, X/Twitter, and more).
  • Share posts manually from the post editor sidebar.
  • Configure automatic sharing rules per account (categories, tags, daily limits).
  • Use per-account share templates and optional design templates created in your Webixso dashboard.

You need an active Webixso account and API key to use this plugin.

External services

This plugin connects your site to the Webixso platform in order to create and publish social media posts.

  • What the service is used for

    • Fetching your connected social media accounts and design templates.
    • Creating and publishing posts (with or without designs) to the selected social media accounts.

  • What data is sent and when

    • When you test the API connection or manage accounts, the plugin sends your API key and basic site context (such as site URL) to the Webixso API to validate access and list available accounts and designs.
    • When you share a post (manually or via automation), the plugin sends:
    • Post content pieces (title, excerpt or trimmed content, categories and tags, permalink URL).
    • Information about the selected social account IDs (and, where relevant, page/board identifiers).
    • Optional image URL (featured image or first image in the content).
    • When automation is enabled, this data is sent in the background according to your configured schedule and rules.

  • Where the data is sent

    • All API requests are made to the Webixso API endpoint at https://webixso.com (for example, the base URL used by this plugin is https://webixso.com/api/v1/external).

  • Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

    • By using this plugin, you agree to the Webixso platform’s own terms and privacy policy for how data is processed and stored.
    • You can review those policies on the Webixso website in your account area or the legal/terms section.
  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/webixso directory or install it through the WordPress plugins screen.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
  3. Go to Webixso Settings and paste your API key from the Webixso dashboard.
  4. Use the Accounts tab to add and configure the social accounts you want to share to.
Do I need a Webixso account?

Yes. You must create an account on https://webixso.com and generate an API key in your profile.

Does the plugin store my API key securely?

Yes. The API key is encrypted before it is stored in the WordPress options table.

How does automatic sharing work?

You can enable automation per account and optionally limit it by categories and tags. For accounts with a daily limit greater than 0, you must also configure a server cron as described in the settings page.
