The plugin acts as a regular WooCommerce shipping method. For setting up the plugin, please follow the instructions:

  • Install and activate the plugin.
  • Go to WooCommerce => Settings ⇒ Shipping ⇒ Shipping Zones.
  • Assign Free Shipping Per Product to one or more of the shipping zones.
  • At the method’s settings, you can choose if you want to hide other shipping methods at Checkout if the free shipping was available.
  • To make a product eligible for free shipping, you can create a shipping class and name it free-shipping then, assign the class to any product you need.

Using The WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Search for ‘Free Shipping Per Product for WooCommerce’
  3. Click ‘Install Now’
  4. Activate the plugin on the Plugin dashboard

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
  3. Select free-shipping-per-product-for-woocommerce.zip from your computer
  4. Click ‘Install Now’
  5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Download free-shipping-per-product-for-woocommerce.zip
  2. Extract the free-shipping-per-product-for-woocommerce directory to your computer
  3. Upload the free-shipping-per-product-for-woocommerce directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Perfect solution

I have been searching for this perfect solution to adding free shipping to individual items. Creating a zone and class for free shipping does not work unless a customer buys only the free shipped item. If other items were added to the cart "free shipping" would appear along with other choices for shipping. If a choice was made the free shipped item was included in the shipping charge. This plug in removed the item from the shipping charges and only charges for any items not marked for free shipping. It dispalys free shipping if only that item is ordered and removes that line if others are added. Exactly how it should work. Thank you for such a simple solution to a major problem, This should be part of woocommerce!

Make sure your class slug is "free-shipping" and not "free_shipping"

Took a while to get to work. The problem was I has class slug is "free_shipping" and not "free-shipping". Works well once you get it right.

Just needed to offer free shipping on a single product but if it was bundled with products that required shipping the free shipping option needed to be removed and this plugin did just that. Very simple to use.
