Installing the plugin is easy. Just follow these steps:

  1. From the dashboard of your site, navigate to Plugins –> Add New.
  2. Select the Upload option and hit “Choose File.”
  3. When the popup appears select the wp-anywhere-widgets.zip file from your desktop.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait till the upload completes.
  5. When it’s finished, activate the plugin via the prompt. A message will display confirming activation was successful.

How do I display a widget on a specific page or post?

After creating a widget in the admin panel, you’ll receive a unique shortcode. Simply copy and paste this shortcode into any page, post, or widget area—even inside the Gutenberg/Block Editor or Classic Editor.

Is “WP Anywhere Widgets” compatible with the Block Editor (Gutenberg)?

Yes! The plugin now fully supports both the Classic Widgets and the Block (Gutenberg) Widgets editor, offering flexibility no matter which editor you prefer.

This is such a fantastic and much needed plugin - incredibly helpful if you're customising your site or need to insert sidebars and widgets across the site.

Ingenious little plugin!

I needed to paste a script to display an online radio station playlist, and strangely it would only show a formatted playlist within a widget. In a post, it only displayed a button and a link. No playlist.

BUT this plugin solved the problem. By creating a shortcode from that widget (brilliant!), I was able to display the playlist in a post correctly, which is exactly what was needed. Thank you to the developers!

CSS Not Functioning

Good plugin, not a bad at all!! But, "my "deal of the day" sidebar css was not functioning when I was displaying through shortcode on "sticky on scroll" widget. If it gets fixed = 5 star.

Thanks for that simple but useful solution for generating and showing the widget ID and showing me a shortcode for that, that I can add in a post or page content - works fine with my WP 6.2, thank you!
