WordPress avatar is now easier by WP Avatar. WP Avatar allows you to use any photos uploaded into your Media Library as an avatar instead of using Gravatar.

1. Upload the plugin files to the “/wp-content/plugins/wp-avatar/” directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
3. Go Edit Profile -> find “Avatar Upload”.

How to allow Subscriber can upload avatar?

1. Go Settings -> Discussion
2. Find “Allow anyone can upload avatar”, check it.
3. Save Changes.
