Description
WP Custom Avatar – This light plugin adds the capability to change the default Avatar in your website. This is usually displayed when a person without a gravatar comments on your blog.
1. Configure the plugin by going to Appearance > Customize menu that appears in your admin menu.
2. Upload the Custom Avatar image in the WP Custom Avatar section.
3. Navigate to Settings > Discussion menu. Scroll down to the Avatars section and choose the image that you uploaded as the Default Avatar.
Licence
This plugin is released under the GPL, you can use it free of charge on your personal or commercial blog.
Installation
- Download the plugin and unzip it.
- Upload the folder
wp-custom-avatarto your/wp-content/plugins/folder. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Check FAQ section for plugin configuration information.
Faq
- Configure the plugin by going to

- Hit
Publishto save the changes. Close the Customiser after that. - Navigate to
Settings>Discussionmenu. Scroll down to the Avatars section and choose the image that you uploaded as the Default Avatar.
Make sure the Show Avatars checkbox is checked in the Avatar Display section in Discussion Settings page.

Thank you very much for this work. It really works.
I would only add the option to choose that the avatars are not reset every time the page is refreshed. Instead, once a guest comments and is assigned a comment, that avatar is fixed for that comment.
