Description

This plugin simplifies the life of WordPress users.
Now users can automatically create new fake posts to fill the database. It’s possible select numbers of posts, post types, post status, post author and post thumbnail. Plugin available on GitHub.

  1. Upload wp-lorem-ipsum directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress
  3. Now you have a new option through the “Settings” menu in WordPress

Can I choose the post type?

Yes, you can choose number of posts, post type, post author, post status and if the posts will have post thumbnail.

Can I upload fake thumbnails?

When you click “Send” your posts will have random post thumbnails. After that you can edit single posts and upload your thumbnails from your media library.

Could be improve with more options (like h1, h2, h3 or more html elements in the post body) but very usefull anyway!

So here I am setting up a sandbox WP installation for testing plugins that I m writing. This wonderful little plugin just saved me hours of setup, giving me a full set of "real posts" and "real pages" to operate upon. Ten Stars!

Good Plugin. Bad Dummy Content-- not client-ready.

The plugin works great to add placeholder posts. Unfortunately, the placeholder text it adds includes "funny" words associated with meat, such as "Tenderloin short ribs cow ground round, drumstick’s kielbasa burgdoggen doner chicken". I personally don't care— but I wanted to show a demo to a client, and can't do it with dummy content like this.

Finally a really useful plugin. You can select number of posts, post type, and other parameters to fill your database during development. Good.
