Advanced All in One Admin Search by WP Spotlight is a powerful global quick navigation search plugin for WordPress Dashboard – it is an advancement of the default WordPress dashboard search.

You can configure it to search anything on your WordPress Dashboard like pages, posts, comments, orders, users and many more options.

How does it work?

  1. Install the plugin, and you will see the search field on the wp-admin bar.
  2. By default, menu search will be activated. However, you can include any searchable option from the plugin settings page.
  3. Now, type anything for WP Spotlight plugin to search your entire dashboard and list all available menus/options.

How is it better?

WP Spotlight is a new utility search plugin which enhances the search experience in WP dashboard. You will see the search results at lightning speed and as you type, search results will become more accurate.

Moreover, you do not need to explore your WordPress dashboard to find any menu. Just type a word and you will be presented with all available options/menus on your site.

Say if you have installed a new plugin and it has some searchable options,

Doesn't work with ACF fields in WooCommerce products

The plugin basically works fine, but not for ACF fields (post meta) used in WooCommerce products. We are using ACF fields for products (Woo) and the plugin does not return any entries when searching for strings that are in the ACF fields although we did check the boxes for products and post meta in the settings of the plugin.
Maybe the post meta search needs to be extended for WooCommerce.

Such a fantastic plugin! I'm a frequent user of Spotlight on MacOS, and WP Spotlight has allowed me to hide most of my admin menu items because I can now just search for them when I need them. It's also very well-maintained. Thanks so much for building such a useful plugin! 🙂

I think the plugin is really great. I just tested it a bit. A really good backend search for admins and editors. Does it also work with content from ACF - Advanced Custom Fields? I have already created fields but no content yet.

Pretty cool, does what it says. Nice interface. I'd give it six stars if it could be used to search post meta and user meta. Almost everything on my site is stored in custom fields.

This plugin completely changed our way of working in WP dashboard. Navigating through the admin side is just so much more convenient and because of its 'search anything' behavior, everything is so much faster accessible through WP Spotlight Search. I can’t imagine going back working without it anymore!
