Description

WP User Switch is a very simple plugin. It will help you to switch between the user’s account in a WordPress site. By one simple click, you will be switch instantly logged out from the present account and logged in to your desired account without type any username and password. This is very useful for test environments where site administrators regularly switch between different accounts for multiple purposes. Site administrators can allow any user to switch between accounts but then allowed users can’t switch to an admin account. See the Github project repository.

Does this plugin work with any WordPress site?

Yes, and you’ll able to switch users from any WordPress site.

Does this plugin work with WooCommerce?

Yes, and it is absolutely compatible with WooCommerce.

Does this plugin work with EDD?

Yes, and it is absolutely compatible with Easy Digital Downloads plugin.

What capability does a user need in order to switch accounts?

Who has mange options capability they can switch. By default only Administrators have this capability, But If Administrators allow any user to switch, then that particular user can switch accounts.

Can I switch users directly from the admin toolbar?

Yes, you can switch users directly from the admin toolbar because this plugin added an admin menu for user switch.

Can I switch users from front end?

Yes, you can switch users from Front-End. If WooCommerce is installed then you will have an extra sticky switcher option in the site body, but you must be logged in first.

Can I switch users when i am logged out?

No, you must be logged in first. Then if you have ‘manage options’ capability then can switch users. If you don’t have this capability then you have to be allowed by the administrators.

Thank you for this tool. It's very handy. I use it to switch to customer accounts in order to load orders for them. Certain of my customers have different pricing. so this allows me to load an order with their pricing applied. I would like to be able to configure the admin dashboard feature to only show a particular user profile subset. other than this it is very good as it is.

Very useful plugin. In my case I'm using it with a B2B solution to make orders for my clients. In the future would be great if we could manage the users that are showed in the switching dropdown. Best Regards

I'm a huge fan of these micro productivity plugins. Just note - there seems to be a bug or error where there is a console log spitting out some erroneous details into the console on the FRONT END of the site when not even logged in. There shouldn't be a need to load the plugin files on the front end and the console log error could be patched if possible. If that's done then otherwise fantastic job

This is the most convenient plugin for switching users! Even if the admin bar is hidden when viewed as a "subscriber", the floating panel will allow you to switch to another user. Convenient configuration of the selection menu list.
