Do I need a Facebook API key?

No! The Live Feed Builder uses an intelligent scraping engine that works without any API keys or Facebook app setup. The legacy widget method still supports optional Facebook App authentication.

What event sources are supported?

The free version supports Event IDs and iCal URL sources. The Pro version adds Facebook Page ID and Facebook Group ID sources for automatic event fetching.

Can I display events from a Facebook Group?

Yes, but this requires the Pro add-on. With Pro, simply paste your Group URL or ID and the plugin will automatically fetch all upcoming events.

How many layouts are available?

The free version includes Card Grid and List View. The Pro version adds Timeline, Compact List, Minimal Grid, Ticket List, and Masonry layouts — 7 layouts total.

Will events update automatically?

Yes! Events are cached for the duration you configure (default: 24 hours). When the cache expires, fresh events are fetched automatically. You can also manually clear the cache from the feed settings.

Does it work with Gutenberg?

Absolutely! Use the XT Facebook Events Feed block to embed any feed directly in the block editor with a simple dropdown selector.

Can I hide online/virtual events?

Yes. Each feed has a “Hide Online Events” toggle in the Filters tab that automatically detects and hides virtual events (including multi-language detection).

Is the plugin GDPR compliant?

The plugin fetches public event data from Facebook and caches it on your server. No user tracking or third-party cookies are used. Event data is displayed directly from your WordPress database cache.

Love the support - great plugin

Easy to install and nice way to showcase my events. After some changes from FB's side I had to re-install the plugin and then needed support as I am unfamiliar with coding and such. The support team was super swift and professional and sorted the glitch, so now everything is running great again. Recommending them 100%.

I was trying to authorize this plugin with no luck. So after a few emails back and forth, one of their support reps actually scheduled a skype call with me where he solved my problem through one screen sharing session. Great service!!

Great plugin

With a working version now I can finally recommend this plugin again. Not that it was the developers fault as facebook was the culprit that caused all plugins like this to stop working

So long, and thanks for all the fish...

What was a great plugin, has been subjected to a change in Facebook Terms. While I want to support this plugin, it ultimately no longer works. There isn't much point downloading it but it was good while it lasted

Awesome plugin with great support

This is a fantastic plugin that mirrors facebook events with a very simple one line of Shortcode. The Xylus support team go waaay above and beyond to help webadmins if they have any trouble getting it working. I highly recommend this plugin.

Great potential here

By robmason38 on April 4, 2018

This is potentially a great plugin, but it suffers from too many intermittent failures. I've had it running perfectly on two web sites and one dev site. The dev site is a clean WP install with no other plugins used to eliminate problems caused by other plugins. The events plugin is fairly easy to setup (provided you apply quotes correctly!). However, the plugin will stop feeding events for no reason. ***Update 04/04/18 *** The devs are commended for their support, despite me using the freebie version. Seems there's some disruption with Facebook APIs, probably due to the recent high-profile privacy issues. Let's wait and see if the FB API issues settle down and this great plugin can really fly. Keep up the good work guys, and apologies for my earlier whining!
