External Services

This plugin connects to Yalt, an external loyalty platform, using the API base URL and API key configured by the store owner.

The plugin contacts Yalt to retrieve the loyalty program configuration. When displaying estimated loyalty earnings, it sends the amount being calculated. Customer balances and rewards are requested only for customers whose loyalty-program consent is recorded. When a customer joins the program, it sends the customer’s external ID, email address, phone number, first name, and last name. When an enrolled customer places an eligible order, it sends the external ID and order details, including order ID, totals, currency, tax, payment method, status, date, and purchased product details.

When a member claims a reward, the plugin sends the reward ID and member’s external ID to Yalt, which checks eligibility, deducts the required points, and returns the member’s reward record. The Yalt API uses the configured API key for authentication. Review the Yalt Terms of Service for information about the service. The store owner should also provide a privacy notice that accurately describes this WooCommerce data sharing to their customers.

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce.
  2. Upload and activate the Yalt Loyalty Program for WooCommerce plugin.
  3. Create or access your Yalt business account and configure a loyalty program.
  4. In WordPress, open Yalt Loyalty > Settings > Connection and enter your Yalt API base URL, API key, and chain ID.
  5. Save the settings and confirm the connection on the Yalt Loyalty dashboard.
  6. Choose where to display loyalty registration, points, balances, and rewards in the plugin settings.
Do I need a Yalt account?

Yes. Create or access a Yalt business account and configure a loyalty program before connecting the plugin. This v1 plugin connects with an API base URL, API key, and chain ID.

Where is loyalty data stored?

WooCommerce remains your store platform. The plugin sends enrolled customers’ details and eligible order data to Yalt so the service can calculate and manage loyalty activity. See the External Services section for details, and ensure your store’s privacy notice explains this data sharing.

Can customers earn points in a physical shop as well?

The plugin synchronizes eligible WooCommerce orders with the Yalt chain configured for your store. Other channels depend on your Yalt plan and setup. Contact Yalt to confirm which channels are available for your account.
